2020 Sanderson Farms Championship Picks

sanderson farms betting

Although the Sanderson Farms Championship is now a full event in the PGA Tour schedule, it is still relatively ignored by most of the top golfers on tour. So far some of the “bigger” names in the field this week include: Sergio Garcia, Jason Dufner, Louis Oosthuizen, Henrik Stenson, Zach Johnson and Charl Schwartzel.

Figuring out who to bet on can be difficult since you are looking at a field of golfers who are basically fillers in a weekly golf tournament aside from a handful of rookies that get an invite or the odd top 50 golfer that makes the commitment to play.

Nevertheless, we have checked out the golfers who are playing this week and come up with a list of who to bet on. Admittedly we won’t be putting up huge plays this week on outright winners but we will keep an eye on the live betting at Intertops while watching the tournament and see if we can find a few more prop bets to squeeze out some extra winners.

Favorites To Win The Sanderson Farms Championship

Odds are provided by our top betting partner Intertops.com

Louis Oosthuizen

ODDS TO WIN – 12 to 1

Easily the best golfer in the field this week both in where he ranks in the official world golf rankings and how he is playing. He just finished in 3rd at the US Open and has had a really great stretch of golf since the return from the Covid break. If you are going to bet an outright winner, Oosthuizen may be your best bet!

Scottie Scheffler

ODDS TO WIN – 10 to 1

Scheffler just won PGA Tour rookie of the year and had a run at the Tour Championship but has missed the last two weeks of golf (including the US Open) after testing positive for Covid. Now back in the field he should be looked at as one of the favorites to win the Sanderson Farms Championship given the lack of talent he will face this week.

Sanderson Farm Sleeper Picks

Dylan Frittelli

ODDS TO WIN – 40 to 1

Frittelli is making his first start of the new PGA Tour season and has played the Jackson course twice making the cut both times and finishing in 6th last year. As a sleeper pick for the Sanderson Farms you can do much worse and he has won on tour before so he’s worth looking at a bet to win if you like chasing longer odds.

Other Bets To Consider

Byeong Hun An – An finished in 3rd in his first ever trip to the Country Club of Jackson and seems to pop up on leaderboards when you least expect him. He is worth digging into a bit more this week if you are thinking of making an outright bet to win at Intertops.

Doc Redman – One of my 2021 PGA Tour Sleeper Picks gets a stronger look this week on my betting slip playing against a weak field. Redman started off the new PGA Tour season strong with a 3rd place finish at the Safeway Open and made the cut in his first appearance last year at the Sanderson Farms tourney. He’d pay off nicely if he puts four good rounds together this week.
